This Toolkit contains numerous websites and valuable information on assistive technology, education, IEPs, post-secondary education, gifted and talented opportunities, and checklists to review life learning skills. It also contains information on in-state colleges and universities offices which provide assistance to students with exceptionalities and many more resources from around the country.
Advocacy and Information
- Ability One – The Ability One Program is a Federal initiative to help people who are blind or have other significant disabilities find employment by working within a national network of over 600 Nonprofit Agencies that sell products and services to the U.S. government.
- American Association of Persons with Disabilities – AAPD is a disability rights organization that promotes equal opportunity, economic power, independent living, and political participation for people with disabilities.
- Arc of Delaware – The Arc is devoted to promoting and improving supports and services for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) – National membership organization that focuses exclusively on integrated employment and career advancement opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
- Delaware Career Resource Network
- Delaware Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) – Promotes and embraces inclusion, equality and empowerment.
- Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS) – Responsive to the needs of people with disabilities by creating opportunities and promoting possibilities for meeting those needs.
- Delaware Division for the Visually Impaired (DVI) – Provides a network of services designed to facilitate the social, emotional and economic independence of the blind and visually impaired.
- Delaware Veteran's Affairs Commission – Dedicated to assisting veterans and their family members in obtaining benefits and working with other government agencies and civic organizations to facilitate assistive services.
- Enable America – A nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing employment among the 56 million Americans with disabilities.
- Job Accommodation Network (JAN) – Confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and employment issues.

- California Employment Resource – People with disabilities information.
- Delaware Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) – Department of Labor's site to connect people to jobs, resources, monetary benefits, workplace protections and labor market information to promote financial independence, workplace.
- Mid-Atlantic ADA Center – Provides training, information, and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to businesses, consumers, schools, and state and local governments.
- Pathways to Employment – DHSS program designed to support low-income teens and young adults with disabilities in Delaware who want to work. The program helps participants prepare for work, find jobs, and succeed in the workplace.

- Workforce Recruitment Program – Program managed by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and the U.S. Department of Defense's Office of Diversity Management & Equal Opportunity (ODMEO). The WRP is a recruitment and referral program that connects federal and private sector employers nationwide with highly motivated college students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to prove their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs.
